Getting Here
Directions
It’s
pretty easy to get to Electric Sunshine so we are going
to keep the instructions really simple. We are at Manns
Rd, in the town of Mullumbimby.
Mullumbimby is 10 hours from Sydney, 3.5 hours from Coffs
Harbour, 2 hours from Brisbane and 15 minutes from Byron
Bay.
See this map.
Approaching
from either north or south simply follow the Pacific Highway
until you see the exit for Mullumbimby – if
you miss it the first time another exit follows 3 km later.
At both exits you follow Gulgan Rd west from the highway
for a couple of minutes until you reach Uncle Tom’s
Pie Shop. Turn again – you’ll see the sign for “The
biggest little town on Australia”. Almost there.
Another 2 minutes
and you reach the edge of Mullumbimby and a 60km/h sign.
Next you’ll see our sign at the
corner of Manns Rd, turn right and enter Electric Sunshine
200 metres straight ahead.
See this map.
Unfortunately, Mullumbimby
has crap public transport thanks to the NSW government shutting
down our train. Instead of driving consider the following:
Shuttle Buses
Hourly shuttle buses will run to Electric Sunshine Superdisco
from the coach stop on Jonson St in Byron. The journey will
take 15 minutes, departing on the hour from 11 till 6.
Tickets cost $15 one way and $25 return
Groups of 10 or more can book private shuttles from elsewhere
in the Byron Shire by calling (02) 66843232 or visiting www.byronbayairbus.com
Taxis
A taxi will cost approximately
$45 to $50 for a 5 seater each way from Byron Bay, and around
$80each way for a maxi.
